FAQ's

Please find below answers to the most commonly asked questions:

How long does the carpet cleaning process take?

It really depends on the amount of carpet that needs to be cleaned, how soiled it is, how much furniture needs to be moved and the levels of staining. We never rush a job but instead take the appropriate amount of time to ensure a high quality clean. As a general rule of thumb, we can clean 220 square feet per hour after we have set up.

How long will carpets take to dry?

The machinery we use has a triple vacuum system which allows it to efficiently suck up all of the water used to rinse your carpets. We then use a turbo drying system to blow warm air over your carpets to help them dry faster. On average it will take half an hour for your carpets to dry.

Will the carpets get dirtier quicker after a professional clean?

No. All our technicians are fully trained and know how to do the job well. They also apply an appropriate amount of time to each job, adequately rinsing the carpet after the cleaning solution has been applied. Cheaper carpet cleaners often do not spend very long on each job. It is important that a decent amount of time is given to rinsing the carpets otherwise a sticky residue may remain which will attract dirt and dust.

Do you move furniture?

We will move some of the furniture e.g. Tables, chairs. We would ask that you move the majority of what you can before we arrive. For insurance reasons we will not move any expensive items e.g. entertainment units, china, ornaments, pianos.

Do you use any harmful chemicals?

All of the chemicals that we use are safe , child and pet friendly and kind to the environment.

How often should I have my carpet and upholstery cleaned?

Carpet and upholstery manufacturers and the carpet cleaning professional bodies IICRC and NCCA recommend that carpets and upholstery are professionally cleaned by a qualified technician every 6 – 18 months (depending on usage and size of family/pets).
